ROBIN K. MACLEAN, CA PRESIDENT
Mr. MacLean has been working with Gilead Power since early 2009 and formally joined the Company in September, 2010. Mr. MacLean has in-depth financial and operating experience across many industries. He started his career with Ernst & Young and subsequently gained extensive experience in senior finance roles at the VP and CFO levels.
His experience goes beyond that of the typical accountant with operating and general management experience leading operations for a global mining services company and more recently as the President & CEO of a publicly traded national construction equipment distributor. As President, Mr. MacLean is responsible for Gilead’s overall growth and value creation by identifying high potential locations for future renewable energy projects.
Mr. MacLean earned his Chartered Accountant designation with Ernst & Young. He holds a MBA from Queen’s University and a B.Sc. from the University of Western Ontario.
FRANK BAJC
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Mr. Bajc has over 30 years of experience in the energy industry, with a proven track record in business development, project development and plant operations. Mr. Bajc has been actively involved in the evolution of the energy markets in Ontario since the beginning of the market restructure in the province, and in international markets, including combined cycle, cogeneration, and renewable project development, construction, and operations support.
His wide ranging experience includes business development, contract management, procurement, construction management and plant design support along with operations management services, to independent and regulated power producers, oil sands processing, refinery, and petrochemical companies. Since 2002, Frank has participated as a senior member of development teams that have closed on over $3.0 billion in new energy facilities in Ontario, representing 2400 MW.
MICHAEL J. LORD VICE PRESIDENT, PROJECT DEVELOPMENT
With over 20 years of experience in environmental and engineering consulting, Mr. Lord has coordinated multi-disciplined teams of engineers, scientists and planners to complete over 300 projects within the public and private sectors. In the role of Vice President of Project Development, Mr. Lord is a member of the Gilead executive team and is responsible for ensuring that cost effective processes and infrastructure are in place to support all staff in project execution.
Mr. Lord works closely with the President, Board of Directors and staff to set goals, monitor work and evaluate results to ensure that organizational objectives and operating requirements are achieved in accordance with the vision and mission of the Company. Overseeing an internal and external team of engineers, environmental practitioners, wind resource specialists and project managers, Mr. Lord is responsible for all aspects of project development including: resource assessment, environmental assessment, interconnection studies, preliminary engineering, project planning and cost estimating.
Mr. Lord earned a degree from McMaster University and Post Graduate Diplomas from Fleming College and IMD International.
